Starnberg Postings

After the Britsch Institute moved from Munich to Starnberg and the untimely death of Gustaf Brtisch, Dr. Egon Kornmann began the habit of sending monthly mimeographed postings on various topics of interest to his students, both current and past. This portion of the website is dedicated to making some of these postings available to English speaking art educators. We hope you enjoy them.

In addition, this space will be used to post some of the early writings of Gustaf Britsch, as few as they were. The initial offering is Britsch’s lecture at the Congress for Aesthetics and the General Science of Art in Berlin in 1913. It was a pivotal lecture for his theory and drew much public attention.

 1) The Concept of Artistic Facts (Restricted to the Question of Artistic Facts in Works of Art) By Gustaf Britsch (Given at the Congress for Aesthetics and the General Science of Art in Berlin, 1913.) (Coming soon.)
